Christian County crash ends with serious injuries for Springfield man

 

A crash in Christian County on Saturday left a Springfield man with serious injuries, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported.
Mark S. Appleton was driving on Phillips Road at 5:20 p.m. when he lost control of his 1994 Ford Ranger and ran off of the road, striking a utility pole, overturning and hitting some trees.
Police said Appleton was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield with serious injuries.
