Andrew Scott Long charged with sexual explotation of a minor

 

On Thursday, November 10th, 2011, Stone County Detectives served a search warrant on a house on Indian Point Road in reference to Possession of Child Pornography.
 Working with the Nixa Police Department and the Tri-Lakes Regional Internet Crimes Task Force, Detectives were advised the residence was trading images of Child Pornography on the Internet.  The case was developed when Nixa Investigators located the computer on line trading images of child sexual abuse.  Based on their information, a search warrant was obtained and served at the residence by Stone County Detectives.
 While at the residence, Stone County Detectives located a large amount of Child Sexual Abuse Images on a computer in the residence.  The computer search revealed over 90 computer generated images of child sexual abuse photographs and several videos of computer generated sexual abuse.  During a later interview, Mr. Long admitted to the creation of the images on the computer.   Mr. Long was is currently a registered sexual offender with the Sheriff’s Office.  Another laptop computer was seized, along with several home made DVD’s and CD’s which will be forensically examined at the Sheriff’s Office.
 Arrested in connection with the images was:
 Andrew Scott Long, a 49 yr old white male who resided at the residence off Jakes Creek Trail on Indian Point Road.  He was taken to Stone County Sheriffs Office where he was booked and later charged with two counts of the Class B Felony Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Class B Felony Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.  His bond has been set at $100,000 cash or Surety and he is currently incarcerated at the Stone County Jail in Galena, Mo.  Other charges could be filed in Stone County upon the completion of the forensic exams and also in Christian County on the case developed by the Nixa Police Department.
