Authorities In Joplin Investigating Suspicious Death

Authorities in Joplin are calling the shooting death of a woman suspicious.
Corporal Chuck Niess says officers were called to 1423 S. Sergeant around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday ( 10-19-11.) A 48 year-old woman, whose name has not been released, was found inside the house with a gun shot wound and was transported to a local hospital where she later died.
Forty seven year-old W. J. F., who was the woman’s boyfriend, who was at the residence was taken into custody on an unrelated weapons charges.
