Blue Bird Drive in Kimberling City to be closed for a week, frequent delays on Hwy. 13

 

Kimberling City, Stone County – Bluebird Drive at Route 13 in Kimberling City will CLOSE for one week beginning Wednesday, Oct. 26, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Contractor crews will rebuild the city street as it approaches Route 13 to accommodate the widening of Route 13 in the area.
By closing Bluebird Drive, crews can do the work more quickly and get the city street opened quickly.
During the closing, drivers will have to use an alternate route.

Other Traffic Impacts:
* Oct. 26 into the week of Oct. 31:  Brief traffic stops will occur on Route 13 north of Route OO north of Kimberling City.  Dump trucks and other equipment will cross the road.  Flaggers will stop Route 13 traffic long enough for the equipment to cross.
* Week of Oct. 31: Lane closings are possible on Route 13 at Lakeshore Drive.  Crews will install new traffic signals. The lane closings will occur during daytime hours when traffic volumes are lighter.
