Cindy Hill, co-owner of the popular Hawg Heaven Restaurant in Blue Eye says, “It’s time to get ready for Christmas. Cindy, her husband, Tony, along with Dean and Jane Jones of S&S Liquidations, also of Blue are working hard to get ready for their second annual “Christmas In The Park,” a fun event for all the kids in the area.
Cindy explained, “These are difficult times and we just want to do something special for all the kids to have a good time at very little expense.” [adsenseyu1]

Moms and dads will be glad to know for only $2 their kids get 20 tickets so they can play lots of games, win prizes, and eat, too, at no additional cost. There will be food for mom and dad, too – like hot dogs, chili and more.

Area residents and businesses are contributing food and lots of time to decorate to make this a special event. Music will be provided by area churches.

This will be a fun event for all area residents (not just Blue Eye residents). Cindy hopes kids from all over the area will come just to have fun and that parents will enjoy a nice outing with their kids without having to spend a lot of money.

At noon there will be a parade and Santa will be there, of course, so bring along the camera. Santa will be handing out goodie bags to all the kids.

The park promises to be a magical and festive place and the decorations and lighting will remain until the end of December. Attendees are invited to bring an ornament to hang on the “Memory Tree” in remembrance of their loved ones. (These ornaments can be picked up after the event or left to decorate next year’s Memory Tree).
