Children with lighter burn down family home in Hollister

 

Fire

Western Taney County Fire responded to a house fire on Matthew Ln. in Hollister today just before 3 p.m.
A fire that started in a shed spread to the home causing major damage to the home.
The family lost most everything but got out of the house before it caught fire.
Twenty firefighters brought the flames under control in about an hour and remained on the scene until about five P.M..
Two children reported the fire to a parent just after they accidentally started the fire wile playing with a lighter in the shed. [adsenseyu1]
Fire officials ask to remind your children of the dangers of playing with fire.
Hollister PD and A Taney County Ambulance also responded to the scene.
