Cold may have contributed to death of man found in Cassville
Cassville police and the Barry County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the death of a homeless man. A worker going to their job found the body near a creek behind the Ramey’s store. The sheriff said it appears the man suffocated after he wrapped his face and body in plastic bags while trying to stay warm overnight.
The sheriff also noted that alcohol may have been a contributing factor. The victim’s name hasn’t been released, police have said he’s from the Washburn area.
