Fire destroys Branson West home of two families, one firefighter injured

 

 Southern Stone County, Missouri – 09:24 November 1, 2011 – 488 September Falls Road Branson West- Firefighters were dispatched to a residential structure fire with possible occupants.
Stone County Sheriffs Deputies were in the area. They reported heavy smoke and heat and were unsure if there were any occupants. First Engine on scene reported fire engulfing the front door of a large two story structure.
Then, crews were notified that the neighbors had been in contact with the owners and verified no one was home.[adsenseyu1]
The residence is occupied by two families, 4 adults and 5 children.
The American Red Cross has been called in for assistance. The fire was fueled by strong winds. Water had to be shuttled by Tankers form the Lake. One Firefighter was treated on scene for smoke inhalation.

42 Firefighters were on scene for nearly 3 hours. Western Taney County Fire responded as part of the 2nd alarm.
