Green Forest man may lose truck in hate crime case
Federal prosecutors said they will seek to seize the truck of a Green Forest, Arkansas man who was convicted of committing hate crimes against Hispanic men. Frankie Maybee was sentenced to 11 years and three months in prison last week after he was convicted of federal hate crimes.
During the court hearing, prosecutors said Maybee used the truck to force a car carrying the Hispanics off the road. The five men in the car were injured when it hit a tree and caught fire. Prosecutors say Maybee owes more than $16,000 in restitution and fines.
They hope to sell the truck at auction and use the proceeds to help pay off the debts.
