Judge vacates jury’s decision in Comstock case

Following a jury verdict in the civil suit over the death of millionaire Rowland Comstock, the judge in the case has vacated the jury’s verdict.
Circuit Judge Michael Cordonnier entered the order Wednesday, siding with an attorney for Comstock’s ex-wife who had argued the jury’s verdict was “so inconsistent as to be self-destructive.”
The jury had awarded Faith Stocker $125,00.00 for the wrongful death of her father adopted father Rolland Comstock.  Stocker brought the case against her biological mother Alberta Comstock.
Ijn his ruling, Judge Coronnier also declined to allow a new trial, despite objections by attorneys  for Stoker.
