Suspected killer Stewart Hopkins will go to trial on  April 23,2012.
He is charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of  his ex-wife,Stacy Birmingham, of Omaha, Ark.Birmingham’s body was found inside a room at the Country Bunkhouse Motel in Branson in October 2010. Autopsy reports showed she had been stabbed to death
Hopkins was arrested in Tulsa, Okla., shortly after police found her body.

Hopkins’ attorney said Hopkins acted in self-defense and stabbed his ex-wife only after she had stabbed him.
