Mercy Auxiliary Sews for Patients with Alzheimer’s

Mercy Auxiliary has adopted the project of providing “Alzheimer Activity Aprons” for Mercy Home Health and Mercy Hospice patients in the Mercy Hospital Berryville service area. These aprons provide valuable activities for patients with Alzheimer’s disease including touching, counting and tying. One pocket is plastic for favorite pictures or identification. Another pocket includes a variety of flash cards which can aid in improving the patients’ memories. For comfort, a small stuffed animal is also included with the apron.[adsenseyu1]
