New executive director of Hollister Chamber steps down
Kaye Shackette,, who was named as the executive director for the Hollister Chamber of Commerce has stepped down after less than 60 days on the job. In a press release, the Chamber outlined the reasons.
We would like to communicate with you about a recent change at the Chamber office. Kaye Shackette, who had accepted the position of Executive Director of the Chamber, has decided to step down from the full-time position and instead work with the Chamber as a volunteer on Special Events. We are delighted to have Kaye’s marketing background to assist us in carrying out events such as the Santa Train, the annual dinner and auction for members, the Easter Egg Hunt, etc.
For the time being, the Board of Directors will be operating the Chamber and meeting the needs of our members on a day-to-day basis. There is a wide variety of skill sets among our Board Members and we will be tapping into each of them as we move forward to carry out the mission of the Chamber. We are continuing to respond to phone calls and emails and carry out monthly Chamber events including the monthly luncheon and the Hollister After Hours.
