Southern Stone County Fire Protection District (SSCFPD) responded to East Hwy 86 Blue Eye, dispatched to an MVC (Motor Vehicle Collision) with persons trapped at 6:55 a.m. Wednesday. The first unit arrived to find one vehicle overturned on it’s top. One person unconscious. The passenger was extricated through the side of the vehicle. Paitent was transported to Skaggs hospital with serious injuries. The driver sustained fatal injuries.
Police said the vehicle, operated by Richard Reddick, 70,of Lampe, lost control of the vehicle left the roadway and struck several mailboxes, eventualy striking a culvert and overturning.
62-year-old Roberta Reddick, also of Lampe, suffered serious injuries.
Police reported Richard Reddick was pronounced deceased, at the scene.
