Police issue endangered person alert for Nixa teens

 

The Missouri Highway Patrol has issued an endangered person advisory for two missing teenagers. An official release from the highway patrol said 17 year old Kevin Merritt and 15 year old Tessa Merritt snuck out of their father’s house in Nixa on Sunday.
The teens are possibly in the company of their uncle, Tommy Case. Kevin is reportedly mentally handicapped. Eearlier in the week he father of the teens said he believed they are possibly en route to their mother’s residence in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. On Tuesday Tessa texted her father and said she needed help. Tessa’s cell phone was last used Tuesday night in Belle Plaine, Kansas.
Police believe the teens are in a grey passenger vehicle. If you have any information on the location of Kevin and Tessa Merritt you’re asked to contact the Nixa Police Department at (417) 725-2510.
