Reports: Obama to reject Keystone pipeline project
By Dave Boyer – The Washington Times
The Obama administration is expected Wednesday to reject the $7 billion Canada-to-Texas Keystone XL oil pipeline, which would provide tens of thousands of new jobs but which environmental groups oppose.Although the White House was mum on the subject, various news outlets were reporting that the official announcement will come from a State Department official later today.
House Speaker John A. Boehner, Ohio Republican, who tried to force the administration to speed up a decision on the project, reacted sharply to the news.[adsenseyu1]
