Rick Perry – shades of pre-WWII
Rick Perry managed to show his true colors during Thursday evening’s debate.
The man who led the state with more executions than any other state, said he allows illegal immigrants children to receive a tuition break because no one with a heart could do less.
Really? The taxpayers of Texas should foot a bill of $100,000 for every child who entered the country illegally? That’s having a heart?
No, Rick Perry, that’s wrong and borders on criminal. You know, criminal like in the very thing you are proud of – being tough on criminals.
The remark came during the debate and was quickly glossed over, but it shows the danger of having this GOP loose cannon running the entire country.
Are we ready for a president who believes that rewarding illegals is a good thing? Admittedly, we have had our share of those who have tried, mostly really pandering to the Latino voters, but no one has actually taken such extreme and unconstitutional steps.
This is the same Perry who believes government mandated immunization of young girls is something that falls within the realm of the legislative branch. That type of thinking can lead us down a dangerous road, just ask those who lived in Germany in the late 1920s and early 1930s.
It is time for all Republicans to reconsider the logic of putting this man in charge of anything, especially the entire country.
