Route 13 Widening Project: Branson West to Kimberling City – update
Update for Week of Feb. 6-10, 2012
Work scheduled:
- Grading rock and dirt along shoulders in Kimberling City
- Installing traffic signal equipment at Route OO
- Grading rock for relocated portion of Route 13 west of Stoneridge
- Pouring concrete for bridge components for new bridge at south edge of
- Bridge girders delayed until mid-to-late February for new bridge at south edge of Stoneridge

Traffic Impacts:
- Lane closings on Route 13 between Bluebird Drive and Cove Street. Work hours: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Short-term traffic stops at Route OO to allow equipment to enter and leave work areas
- Trucks entering and leaving work areas using Stoneridge Center Road
- Large equipment entering and leaving work areas
- Work zone speed limit: 35 mph
(Weather or construction delays could alter the work schedule.)
Project Summary:
- Widen Route 13 to four lanes between Branson West and Joe Bald/James River Road
- Relocate a one-mile section of Route 13 through Stoneridge
- Install new traffic signals at Route 13 and Business 13 at the south edge of Branson West
- Build right-turn and left-turn lanes in various locations
- Build two new bridges
– Route 13 at the south edge of Stoneridge
– Armadillo Lane over new Route 13 at Stoneridge - Resurface existing Route 13 through Stoneridge business district
- Resurface Route 13 between Joe Bald/James River Road and the Kimberling City bridge
- Prime contractor: Journagan Construction of Springfield
- Project cost: $11.5 million
Scheduled completion: December 2012
