Locally owned and employee-owned Price Cutter is pleased to announce their involvement in the Kansas Plaza Fun Fest along with neighboring businesses Cherry Berry Self-Serve Yogurt Bar, Farmers Insurance Group, Pigtails & Crewcuts Haircuts for Kids, Qdoba Mexican Grill and Rapid Refill as a kick off to their month-long holiday donation drive, November 5^th through December 5^th, for local charity, Help Give Hope. The Kansas Plaza Fun Fest will take place in the parking lot of Kansas Plaza, on the corner of Kansas Expressway and Republic Road, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

This free event offers local families the opportunity to donate new coats, shoes, children’s clothing, toys, hygiene products and non-perishable food items to families in need this holiday season, through Help Give Hope. Help Give Hope is a not-for-profit, 501 (c) (3) charitable organization, whose mission is to assist needy families in southwest Missouri. Designed initially to provide help during the holiday season, Help Give Hope now offers year-round assistance to families in need by helping with utility bills, rental assistance, gas vouchers and educational help. In addition to crisis assistance, Help Give Hope offers a used car program and one of the largest annual Christmas adoption programs in the Springfield area, serving over 300 families. The Kansas Plaza Fun Fest is free and open to the public, offering family-friendly live entertainment with Bucky Heard from the “Rock U Mentally,” show out of Branson from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, a meet and greet with Springfield Cardinals mascots, Louie and Fetch, fire truck tours, fun food contests for children and adults, free Child Safety ID Kits, lots of giveaways and much more! Rapid Refill will be accepting donations for Operation Paperback, where individuals can donate new or gently used paperback books to American troops deployed overseas.
