Streets in downtown Branson need to be clear of vehicles next week
Branson Public Works officials would like to remind residents and businesses in the downtown area that vehicles need to be off of some streets next Monday through Thursday nights, September 19-23, for microsurfacing, and striping (weather permitting).
The microsurfacing will be done between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning on those three days next week. The downtown streets affected include:
• Commercial Street between Business 65 and Branson Landing Boulevard
• Atlantic between Veterans Boulevard to Main including Sycamore between Atlantic and Main
• Main Street between Veterans Boulevard and Sycamore
• Pacific Street between Business 65 and Commercial.
City officials have put another call out for no parking on those streets during the overnight hours because several vehicles were still parked when the contractor sealed cracks two weeks ago.
The microsurfacing is a more involved process with larger equipment that could damage vehicles parked along the streets.
