Tip leads to meth bust in Branson West

 

On September 19, the Branson West Police Department received a tip about two subjects buying items used in the production of methamphetamine. Officers of the Branson West PD responded to the Country Mart in Branson West. Officers made contact with 3 male subjects and one female in the parking lot of Country Mart.
Two subjects were arrested on outstanding warrants- Gregory M. Bennett, 20 years old of Rockaway Beach, arrested for Failure to Appear warrant from Christian County, No bond.
Jason S. Morse, 31 years old of Rockaway Beach, arrested for Probation violation warrant from Taney .County, No Bond Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and found severalprecursors used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. Bennett and Morse were transported to the Stone County Jail and placed on a hold for possession of precursors with intent to manufacture.
Deputies of the Stone County Sheriffs Office had arrived on scene to assist. Further investigation took Officers to Armadillo Lane south of Branson West in Stone County. Deputies from the Stone County Sheriffs Office, COMET Drug Task Force and Offices of the Branson West PD searched a house on Armadillo Lane. Numerous items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, including pseudoephedrine and muratic acid, were located in the residence.
A 36 year old female and a 36 year old male were taken into custody on a 24 hold for manufacturing a controlled substance. A 12 year child was turned over to Division of Family Services.
