Turpentine Creek offers “wild” Halloween

The Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is once again providing spooky Halloween fun with their Howl-O-Ween event, Spooktacular, Saturday, Oct.29, 7-9 p.m.  For one night only, the refuge is open for viewing the big cats.
According to staff at the Refuge, a hayride around the habitat loop, fondly called the Trail of Terror, takes visitors past the enclosures where the nocturnal beasts watch in the dark.
T
he evening also includes food, games and a costume contest. The Spooktacular is a fundraiser for the refuge, and is a family event.
