Wood burning stove causes fire in Taney County

A mobile home in Taney County is a complete loss after a fire broke out near a wood burning stove in an adjacent add-on porch late Thursday (10-27-11) afternoon.
Western Taney County Assistant Fire Chief Jim Single says 18 firefighters, four of which were from the Western Taney County Fire Protection District, responded to the fire at 1358 Hampton Rd. Upon arrival firefighters found the home fully engulfed in flames.
It took firefighters an hour-and-a-half to extinguish the blaze.
The Red Cross was called to assist the home owner.
