WRVHS to offer a behind the scenes tour

On Sunday, September 11, 2011, visitors to the White River Valley Historical Society (“WRVHS”) will learn more about what goes on “behind the scenes” at the Society, located at 297 Main St, Forsyth, across from the Taney County Judicial Center.  A slide presentation showcasing some of the many areas the WRVHS is involved in will be shown, and guests will be allowed to tour the building, with volunteers providing hands-on demonstrations of various activities throughout.
Social time, and tours, during this special free event will be held from 1:00 – 1:45, followed by a brief business meeting.  The presentation will begin immediately after the meeting, followed by additional tours until 3:00.
The WRVHS offers a museum, research library and gift shop/bookstore.  Operating hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, with no admission cost.  More information about the event, or WRVHS, is available by calling 417-546-2210 or emailing to wrvhs@hotmail.com. The Historical Society’s website is www.wrvhs.org.
